About WorkStackReview

Last updated: October 22, 2026

What this site is

WorkStackReview is an independent review publication for small teams — typically 1 to 20 people — choosing software they will actually pay for. We focus on the decisions where a wrong choice costs real money and real migration pain: CRMs, project management tools, email platforms, course platforms, and website tools.

How we make content

Every product we cover is registered and used by us for at least 30 minutes before we write a word. Screenshots in our reviews come from our own accounts, with our own test data — not vendor marketing material. Each review includes what the product costs at 3, 8, and 20 seats, where a small team would stall, and who should not buy it. The full method is described on our How We Test page.

Who runs it

The site is run and edited by Marcus Webb, who has spent years working with small-team software as an operator and writer. It is an independent, self-funded publication — there is no parent company, no office, and no sales team behind it.

Where the money comes from

We earn affiliate commissions from some links, clearly disclosed on every page. Commission never determines our ratings — see our Editorial Policy. When a product is good but has no affiliate program, we still recommend it; when a product pays well but fails our testing, we say so.
